That’s not all that you can look forward to

That’s not all that you can look forward to, because next week will mark the launch of the political system in TERA! You should make good use of the remaining days to prepare your political campaign if you want to rule the world of TERA as a Vanarch!

The first thing to look forward to is the return of blood, together with the slider to adjust this setting. You’ll be able to see the same amount of blood in the game and on the ground, as you were used to in previous beta tests. In case you would like to see nearly no blood or a reduced amount of blood, you can always change this through the returned slider in the options menu.

Want more good news? Perhaps you would like to instill fear into the hearts of all your enemies and send them running at the mere sight of your guild’s war banner? No problem, because we’ll re-activate the function for uploading your own guild emblems. A number of background changes have been made to the system. Always remember to think before you upload images that might violate the rules of conduct or even the law.

This is just a glimpse of the upcoming patch and there will of course be several bug fixes and improvements coming along with this update. For example you’ll find fixes and improvements for the chat system and the search at the auction house. We’ll release the complete patch notes during the maintenance next week.

What has been unveiled? the fourth World of Warcraft expansion set it is!

What has been unveiled? the fourth World of Warcraft expansion set it is! Shrouded in fog since the world was sundered more than ten thousand years ago, the ancient realm of Pandaria has remained unspoiled by war. Its lush forests and cloud-ringed mountains are home to a complex ecosystem of indigenous races and exotic creatures — including the noble and enigmatic pandaren. Will the mists of Pandaria part to reveal the world’s salvation… or will the battle to control this new land push the Horde and the Alliance over the brink of war and into total annihilation?

In Mists of Pandaria, players will be able to explore an all-new continent while reaching new heights of power on their way to an increased level cap of 90. In addition, adventurers can choose whether to side with the Horde or the Alliance as World of Warcraft’s first neutral race — and master the ways of Pandaria’s ancient martial arts as the all-new class.

It was an intense week of collaborations

It was an intense week of collaborations, where key members of our Ops team  met with Bluehole developers for discussions regarding our publishing platform, meetings, brainstorming, question-and-answer sessions, and discussions, but it’s been great working with such an experienced and talented team intent on building a high quality publishing platform focused on great user experiences and streamlined support.

This includes features such as an account management system, subscription engine, payment method acceptance, customer support portal, knowledge database, security, moderation and CS support tools, analytics, bot detection, and so much more. It is the aggregation of features and technology that allows us to publish and service the game efficiently and effectively. The goal is to ensure a high quality experience for our players beyond the actual gameplay, everything from account creation to customer support to billing, and all the surrounding and supporting features required for a great overall user experience. But in order to ensure a great experience, it’s extremely important to build the platform specifically tailored to the appropriate audience—in En Masse’s case, North America.

It was an incredibly busy and productive trip, but we didn’t forget to do one of the things that make working in this industry so awesome: have fun! In fact, I’m happy to report that between Pat, Adam, and me, En Masse held their own against the drinking prowess of the team at Bluehole, a feat not easily accomplished and always regrettable! This recent trip was just one of countless examples of the effort that both En Masse and Bluehole are investing into building a great game and platform for TERA players.
